We are lovers of Mediterranean paella.
We come from a place where paella was born. It is Spanish La Albufera in the region of Valencia. In a dialect of Valencia, it is also called ´L´Albufera´which means a lagoon. In this magical place and its surroundings a typical paella rice is being harvested since the 18th century.
Paella is a typical Spanish food from the region of Valencia, which we enjoy from the childhood with our friends and family. But not only for its unique recipe. The habit of paella eating is for us, Spaniards, literally a ritual. It means for us a social event with great atmosphere and joy while sharing a delicious paella from one pan with our closest people.
Over the last years we have brought this tradition also to Slovakia. We have shown our habits of eating together to our Slovak friends. Paella was prepared in our homes, on private events for clients, on gastronomic festivals like Gurman Fest, during Spanish week also in Gustos Market where we have presented Spanish gastronomy to many people and they literally have fallen in love with it.
One day we said that it would be great to make our paella accesible for anyone. As we say in Spain ´Disfruta la vida´ which means enjoy life. We were thinking about our own restaurant or food truck. After all there was another great idea in our minds. We decided that it will be the best if our paella was enjoyed by the people from all the corners of Bratislava. And there it is, our project TAKE PAELLA – the first hidden kitchen which specializes in the fresh-made original Spanish paella delivery in Bratislava.
